Red stands for the blood of independence fighters, yellow for the sun and labor, green for hope and the forests, and the Black Star of Africa for the freedom and dignity of African peoples.<\/p>\n<p>The emoji shows up during Independence Day (September 24), Lusophone music posts, and cashew-export discussions (Guinea-Bissau is a major cashew producer). Travelers tag it with the Bissagos Islands archipelago shots. Coded in Unicode 6.0 from GW, it pairs with star, palm-tree, and music emojis.<\/p>\n<p>The diaspora across Portugal uses it during cultural events. Note: a different country from Guinea.
