What Does the burrito Emoji 🌯 Mean?

A large flour tortilla rolled tight around fillings, with one end open to show the colorful interior of rice, beans, meat, cheese, and salsa — the burrito emoji captures the Mission-style Mexican-American mega-meal in one chunky cylindrical icon. Texters use it for Chipotle and Qdoba content, taqueria posts, Mexican-cuisine captions, and burrito-bowl meal-prep photos. Mission burritos (the giant San Francisco style) get heavy use, alongside breakfast burritos, wet burritos, and CalMex content generally.

Beyond food, the burrito-blanket trend (large round blankets that look like tortillas) pulls it in playfully, especially for baby-photo posts where infants are wrapped like burritos. Texas, California, and New Mexico cuisine pride adopts it.
